Founded in 2021 by me, Amber Walley, Walley's Wix is a family-operated business, with the support of my husband, Jarrod, son, James, and our two dogs, Willis & Echo.

The reason behind Walley's Wix Candle Co:

I started this business after leaving a less-than-ideal corporate job. In the weeks leading up to my decision to resign, I realized I needed a backup plan—something productive for my free time and potentially income-generating.

My search for side hustles was fruitless until one weekend, while cleaning my house, I lit a popular brand candle and ended up with a headache an hour later. Shocked by the toxicity revelation, I ditched those candles and dove into extensive research. I spent days creating spreadsheets and weighing pros and cons of becoming a chandler and starting my own candle business. After discussing it with my husband, I took the plunge and resigned after three weeks of contemplation.
Three years later, here I am—a self-taught advocate determined to educate people about the toxins in mainstream candles and offer a safer alternative. It's tempting to grab a $5 candle from the store, but investing in a small business candle is a far better choice for your health in the long run.
